Zombie games form a very extensive and diverse genre of video games. The zombie theme may appear in both shooters, as well as survival games or adventure titles. For this reason, there are no fixed and unambiguous rules on which such games are based. Of course, the characteristic feature of zombie games is the presence (as everyone has guessed) of the hideous and scary undead creatures. They are here to frighten the players and attack their characters. Below are some well-known zombie games.

The first of them is Deadlight, a 2.5D platform game with a fantastic visual setting. The game tells an interesting story, which holds many secrets. The protagonist, Randall Wayne, tries to survive in a dangerous world while discovering the mystery of his past. The game challenges the player in a numerous way. There are tasks which require dexterity as well as those in which you need to think logically and solve puzzles.  There are two endings, an ordinary one and one, which players receive as a reward for reaching the highest level of difficulty.

The second title is Plants vs. Zombies. This is an amazing strategy game in which large groups of zombies have chosen your house as a target of their assault. Fortunately, before they reach the door, they have to pass through the garden, which is guarded by your plants. If they are destroyed you can quickly sow seeds and grow new ones – these tactics will effectively protect you from the invasion. Dozens of different types of seedlings and a similar number of zombies make the game exciting and guarantee that you will not be bored too soon.

Another zombie title is The Walking Dead: Season One. This is an adventure game based on the events of the popular series of comic books and TV series. The game focuses primarily on exploring the world and talking to independent characters, as well as on solving puzzles. The choices you make affect the course of later events, which is very interesting because you can play the game in many different ways.

There are many titles in the zombie games genre. It is enough that rotten-green creatures appear in them for a game to be counted as a video zombie title. It is worth mentioning that one of the first zombie games is Resident Evil, which was released in the 90s and started the mania for this kind of games.
