Quiplash

The game Quiplash is brought to us from the folks that made the hilarious, You Don’t Know Jack which is pretty obvious within five minutes of playing. This is a multiplayer-only game that is designed to get you and the others playing laughing. It is all about being as quick and witty as you can and it is certainly a great time with the right people.

The Game Review

The game is like a game show where the people playing are asked a question. This question is usually pretty random such as The Worst Halloween Costume For A Child. The players then have to quickly write something (99/100 it is something wildly inappropriate) and the other players will then pick who they think is the wittiest.

The actual people who are in your group and playing get to vote, but so do up to 10,000 other people who may be watching. I am not sure it will ever get that high, but just the thought that so many folks could be watching you and your buddies play is kind of insane. That is all there is to the game really; you are playing to see who can get the highest score and win.

Quiplash is designed for up to eight people playing the game. You play with one person actually having the game. They can then use an official site to send invites where other people can then play via their smartphone or tablet. It is very easy to get into a game and while I felt the game was best played with people in the same room. You can play online with random people.

That is where there is kind of a “problem” with the game. You cannot (well I could not figure it out) kick people out of a game if they are being jerks which is annoying. It seems random who they will pair you up with and I can see this being a major problem for some people. For me, I think that as I said playing the game in the same room with people is the way to go, but that may not always be an option.

My family and I have played this game a few times now and we have had a couple of repeat questions which can be annoying. I am not exactly sure how many unique questions there are in the game, but I would certainly assume that they will be adding more to it over the coming months.

I found Quiplash to be a really fun party game. While it is still kind of fun playing with random people online. The real beauty of this game is when you play it with friends and family in the same room as it is hilarious! If you want a fun party game to play, this one here is well worth taking a closer look at.
